Throwaway's Blog:

I am a californian who has traveled a lot and loves giving advice, mostly food related but also cultural when it's safe consensual and appropriate to the current legal climate. Contact me via email if you really must.

Amazing Jalq’a work-in-progress on OG leaning hand-loom.  I TOTALLY geeked out at this museum (as did ONE of my THREE travelmates, giving me leverage to actually see all i wanted in four long hours of museeing).  It’s exactly the kind of respectful, detailed, hands-on museum we could wish upon all the indigenous artistic communities in the world looking to trade a little privacy for a lot of export business.  interested parties should ask me for the catalog upon return. Did i mention the place was cram-packed with sullen teens?  Why do i so love tagging along on guided tours for sullen teens?
